This course is suitable for those who have completed our ‘Introduction to Floristry’ Short Course or anyone with a little experience in flower arranging or floristry, if you enjoy learning floral design techniques, would like to take your flower design to the next level or need a refresher course in flower arranging. This Short Course will inspire you and equip you with the skills to make some fabulous, creative designs and inspire you to tackle some new techniques and skills.
Held over 4 consecutive classes, you will learn a range of styles of arrangements and tied structures, giving you the skills and inspiration to be able to advance your flower arranging skills to the next level.
Over the 4 classes you will make a design each time and learn
- Contemporary hand tied design styles
- Inspiring arrangements for various occasions
- How applying the principles and elements of design can improve your arrangements.
- International techniques
- How presentation can enhance designs
- Working to a brief
All flowers, foliage and equipment for the course are provided so no last minute panic trying to find flowers! Just bring a pen and paper and a camera if you like. An information pack is provided for you covering all the key points so you can refresh your memory at a later date.
Our tutors are all qualified to the top levels in floristry, have lots of experience in all areas of design and teaching and won national and international competitions, including Gold Medals at the Chelsea Flower Show.
